We find horrifying news of quotation crimes almost every day throughout the state both in print and visual media. While the police are doing commendable efforts to prevent the crime and nab the criminals our law seems to be inadequate to eradicate the system of quotation crime.

It is like a tender notice. Description of work is chopping off head, hand, leg etc. Work is normally awarded to experienced contractors only. Contract amount is depending upon the status of the victim. Mobilisation advance is given generally along with the work order. 

According to media reports considerable number of such killings are taken place in our country and also in our state. All concerned authorities are aware of this heinous crime. However, as per the available information no effective action is being taken from anywhere to prevent it. And the crime is being continued relentlessly.

We have one of the best police forces of the country. If they are set free with clear instructions they will certainly eradicate this cancerous growth from our society within no time. As per many reports quotation crime has link with politics. And this link is the chief factor that prevent the eradication of this crime.

Crime is crime and therefore, should not be graded to different levels. It is the government to take all out efforts to eradicate crime from this state and allow people to live here peacefully.
