RELIGIOUS FAITH - INDIVIDUAL OR SOCIAL

Image
St Peters Basilica in Vatican City is the biggest church in the world. According to UN estimate the  world population at the mid year 2023 is 805 crores. (The estimated population of the world as on 2026 is 8.3 billion ) As per the broad estimate by the sociologist Phil Zuckerman, there are about 75 crores people in the world do not believe in the existence of a God.  Therefore, the remaining 730 crores people believe in some form of God and follow some religion and their prescribed observance. There are about 4,000 recognised religions in the world. About 83% of the religious population in the world would fall in 12 major religions. When these are the basic statistics of the religions in the world, we discuss below whether religion and it's God are an individual matter or a social one. No man in the world has ever seen God or spoken to Him. Religion is scripted by man within his knowledge as per his needs. However, if we strictly rely on science and the human body...

നായ്കളോട് എന്തിനിത്ര ക്രൂരത!

Image
           (Stray dogs in Kerala) SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്.

Both got married in 1959 to men in the army. Both had two children aged 19 and 21. Both of them could do oil painting. They both studied cosmetology. Both were working in the accounts department. DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE UNDER THE CHANGING SCENARIO

Image
The newly developed defence relationship between US, UK and Australia (AUKUS) had created some unexpected irritation in France. They have expressed their uneasiness by calling back their ambassadors from US and Australia. In fact it can be seen as a  trade related friction. China has already refuted the new tri-nation alliance. The US and France have already started discussion in the matter and got it patched up. However, more such alliance may come up in the near future between other countries. All these alliances may pave the way for drastically cutting down international trade by China. Consequently this will open up more and more new doors for India. We must keep ourselves ready to fill up the gaps immediately. We must conduct an extensive survey to prepare ourselves to give our goods in better quality and at a reasonable price. We may not have lavish time for this. As such we must start doing the spade works right now. India can penetrate in the world market quite ...

WHY INDIAN ROADS CANNOT MATCH WITH THE QUALITY OF EUROPEAN ROADS ?

Image
World  road quality index 2019 shows that Singapore, Switzerland and Netherlands rank 1,2 & 3 with score 6.5, 6.4 & 6.3 respectively. India ranks 46 as per this index with a score of 4.6. According to NCRB there were 4.03 lakhs road accidents in India in 2021 killing 1.55 lakhs and injuring 3.71 lakhs people. Road conditions also must be a contributing factor in these road accidents. Neither the government nor the media nor any social organisations show much attention to these human loss. None has come forward suggesting ways and means to bring down these numbers drastically. As per the available information, annual maintenance cost of existing roads in India is Rs 1,50,000 per km. Budget allocation for roads and highways in India for FY 2017-2023 was 1.21 trillion rupees. Unfortunately, whatever the amount allotted by the Central and State governments are said to be not fully utilised for the purpose it meant for as huge amount of corruptive practices ar...

WE ARE SPOILING OUR CHILDREN

Image
Most of us know that nour children are getting spoilt by whom but for unknown reasons no corrective action is being taken. Charector of a child is formulated primarily by the parents, friends, teachers and amongst them some of  their religious leaders too come in the picture. However, in India especially in the state of Kerala, those who are responsible for charector formulation themselves knowingly tarnish the charector of the children. The moment parents allow their children to associate with politics they are deemed to have lost the cleanliness and perfection of their minds. Politics is the foundation of corruption. In the recent past media reported many illegitimate acts related with college campuses like money swindling, false degree and research certificates, rape, homicide, suicide, destruction of public property and so on. These children are used by senior politicians for their personal preference. For unknown reasons neither parents nor teachers interfere in th...

CAN INDIA BECOME A RICH COUNTRY, ALONGWITH THE PEOPLE?

Image
The answer is straight and simple. 'Yes, we can.' The Supreme One has bestowed us with adequate natural resources and enough people to exploit those. Contrary to all these we have taken a vow that we will never become rich, but will keep on begging till our last breath. In order to  maintain our vow we have made severe bondage with hundreds of political ideologies. Though our country became independent for over seven decades, a good chunk of our population remain tied up here and there. For unknown reasons they don't make any efforts to come out of the self made bondage. Though many say that our country is the fourth richest country in the world  based on GDP, parallelly maintaining 24% - 26% below poverty line. As per international statistics by the IMF (2026) the pci of India stands at $2,700 - $3,000. As per World Population Review report of 2026, countries with the top pci are given below. 1. Luxembourg $145,410 2. Switzerland  $116,005 3. Ireland  ...

OVER A BILLION PEOPLE AND MOST DO NOTHING!

Image
* The country   has large resources but the people do not find opportunity to exploit those.  *We can raise the GDP much more but we do not attempt even.  *Poverty can be eliminated but we seem to retain it. *We can be among the richest countries in the world but we do not even look at that direction. *We prefer to talk about tomorrow. Do nothing today. *Millions of people from all over the world wish to come and see our country but we do not welcome them. * We  leave everything upon the government and move around to find faults in governance. *All  that we do are conducting meeting, conference, seminar, loud talk, rally, procession holding flags, close shops, stop vehicles, down the shutters of industries and such great things. We always find pleasure in talking about our great history and culture. Without knowing the Bhagwan and His temple we keep praying in loud voice. We read the great books without knowing the meaning of what is written...

LET US BE A DISCIPLINED LOT

Image
We Indians   boast ourselves about our 'Arsha Bharata Sanskruti' and tradition which stands top on the world. Unfortunately, our acts reveals a reverse theory. We Indians must be the most indisciplined lots in the world. Whether it is in home, school, place of worship or public roads, our performance is certainly in an indisciplined manner. This is because we don't teach our children in schools about discipline. Why we don't teach them, because we ourselves do not know what is discipline. All sorts of corruption in our country is the result of indiscipline. Our political waywardness is also the results of indiscipline. Say the least, huge number of road accidents in our country is nothing but the outcome of indiscipline. The poverty in our country can be eradicated by disciplined life all around. We do not know where we are to go and where we are going. All sorts of strike and protests in our educational institutions is nothing but ignorance from indisciplin...

INDIAN SMELL - RAILWAY STATIONS, INTERNAL ROAD SIDES IN CITIES Etc

Image
Recently,  the One who have travelled the maximum number of countries in the world, fortunately an Indian, said in a t.v. transmission about the foul smell that receive us in most of the railway stations in India. Unfortunately, no corrective action is being taken to subside this. In fact this foul smell can be found wherever public urinals/toilets are installed. It may be quite surprising that neither our people not our our governments are taking any corrective measures in this. Let us know the fact our government is loosing considerable amount of foreign money owing to this reason too. For instance, India is a country with large geographical, historical and religious resources to attract tourists from all over the world.  But for our own reasons we fail in this. While the international tourism receipts in 2024 of USA was $215 billion, during the same period Indian receipt was $35 to ,$36 billion. If we look for this huge variation cleanliness too may be a conside...

CAN INDIA BECOME THE RICHEST COUNTRY

Image
The Parliament of India When there is a will there are numerous ways. What is that we lack to become richest in the world? We have enough natural resources and  we have more than enough man power to exploit those. Here, neither our government give them opportunity to work nor the people are willing to work. People want to earn without putting any efforts. That is what we have taught them through our age old culture! This free money habit is widely spread in our entire society from top to bottom. Even highly qualified or well plàced people have no hesitation in freely picking from others pockets. There are many media reports about ministers, parliament members, judges, civil service personnel placed at different positions involved in illegitimate monetory earnings. Only a negligible few were brought under the law. Our educational standard has brought us to this level that people may do any paltry things for a few chips. Power and wealth has be...

FURNITURE FROM SEA WEEDS

Image
(African Payal (weeds) above)  (Furniture from sea weeds, made in South Korea- above) After extensive research, Dutch designer Nienke Hoogliet developed Sea Me, a collection of modern and sustainable furniture from sea weeds. In South Korea there are many products brought out from sea weeds. There are production units engaged in the manufacture of furniture in South Korea. They also use sea weeds for food supplements, health products, cosmetics etc  Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute has cultivated about 34,000 MT sea weeds in the coastal areas of India in 2021. It is said to have a price over Rs 950/- per kg (to be got verified). Now we may get into the water hyacinth called African Payal in Malayalam. The scientific name of this is Eichhornia Crassipes or Salvinia Auriculate.  These weeds are thickly spread over the entire backwaters of Kerala. These are said to be used for baskets, curtains, furniture etc. ...

NAMES IN KERALA AND OTHER PARTS OF INDIA.

Image
The house names are added to the  names of almost every Malayalees. This must be a unique system in the whole world when we consider the formation of this particular names. While it is indicating the clan, cast, community, lineage or tradition in other parts of India, in Kerala these names are derived from geography, flora and fauna, places of worship etc. Most of the house names in this state might have derived from the name of trees, land shapes (high, low, flat etc) natural water ways like river, stream, canal, pond etc. Then comes small, big and old house. Different colours in Malayalam are also nused in house names. The words big and small in local languages also widely used. Adjacence to temple, church etc also used to indicate house names. Large rock fall, paddy field. flower garden and large agricultural land are also very much used as house names. Gold, silver, copper, iron etc are also used as house names in Kerala. Christian and some Hindu names are rarely us...

WHAT IS NEGATIVE ENERGY; DOES IT HAVE ANY IMPACT ON MAN?

Image
Scientific meaning of negative energy is that which is a concept used in physics to explain the nature of certain fields, including the gravitational field and various quantum field effects. The energy given to break an atom is considered as negative energy. On the other hand, if we look into negative energy through theological doctrine we may find different forces. Basically there are two energies in the whole universe. Those are positive energy and negative energy. While God is the centre point of all positive energies, it is the devil who heads all negative energies. Many of our religions teach this. This definition, however, seems to be a wrong one. Since all energies of the universe are originated from the Supreme One negative energy too is from Him only. When we commit sin, it is said to be the influence of negative energy.  The measure of energy we have is inherited. It is the energy of our ancestors that flow into us when we take birth in this world. When we are...

HOW TO HELP THE RUBBER CULTIVATORS IN THE COUNTRY

Image
The Central Government without any much financial burden can help the rubber cultivators. What the rubber growers want is not grant, subsidy or any such help. They want a reasonable price for their rubber. This can be given if a suitable demand comes up. Yes, it is already there, not to create one. If the government take a decision to mix rubber with tar for road construction all over the country, huge demand will come up for rubber. The demand will naturally increase the price of rubber. By using the rubberised asphalt the road will have considerable durability, reduced maintenance demand, added safety and noise reduction. Therefore, in a short period of time the government can recoup the higher payment and soon can save considerable sum from other factors. However, there is likely to be some resistance by some people on this proposal. Government may deal with such situation, if arises. Alongwith with this the government can use the Rubber Board to conduct research across ...

RATTAN TATA - A GREAT HUMAN BEING

Image
Industrial  history of the TATA group commenced in 1868 with a Textile Mill in Mumbai. It was also the beginning of the largest establishment of great human beings in India. This TATA group must be the most stainless business management group in the world. The goodness of this great group was not suddenly added for the business publicity. Soon after they have started their first unit over a century ago they had introduced pension and accident compensation for workers first time among Indian industries. From being a family owned business group, TATA Group have developed into an efficient and professionally managed group in the world. Every Indian have faith in any product of TATA. They don't need a second look or a second thought on a TATA product. And that is trust. Alongwith managing business, TATA Group have created a bond with the people of this country merely on humanitarian ground. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi alongwith Sri Rattan Tata on 28th of April last ina...

WHAT IS HAPPINESS

Image
Happiness can be briefly defined as a subjective state of well being of mind. However, this cannot be seen as a standard explanation as it  varies from person to person. For instance, generally in the middle class category of people, at least among Indians wide variety of things make them happy. Some people instantly become happy when they take a few pegs of alcohol. Some get happy when they get some unexpected money. Good friends make some happy. Wonderful results for their doings make almost all happy. Happiness is mostly related to contentment of their doings make almost all categories of people happy irrespective of the fact whether they are rich or poor. Despite all these explanation, happiness is interlinked with three states of mind, that is, contentment, happiness and peace. One factor cannot be separated from the other. Sometimes some people fail to identify each one of this that they are going through. Many people think that large stock of money and other form...

DO INDIA NEED A CHANGE IN THE FORM OF GOVERNMENT?

Image
Part V (Continued from yesterday)   Presidential Palace of India   No  confidence motion in the Indian Parliament can lead to a mid term election. Only by impeachment in the American senate can unseat the President. While the Prime Minister appoints the cabinet ministers in India, the president nominate the cabinet and send for approval to the senate in US. In India, as a country there is only one constitution. In US every state has it's own constitution. The basic difference between India and the USA is that India has a parliamentary form of government while US has a Presidential system of government. As far as the system of government is concerned we Indians have excessive freedom, but the benefits of it goes to the extremely wealthy and those holding the power. As such despite over seven decades rule by different political parties, the three major issues we have discussed could not be sorted out and contrary to this these are growing up. Corruption has beco...

DO INDIA NEED A CHANGE IN THE FORM OF GOVERNMENT?

Image
Part IV (Continued from yesterday) According to Abraham Lincoln a democratic government is - of the people, by the people and for the people. As per the report of Economic Times there are 94.5 crores voters for the ensuing Lok Sabha election. As per democratic norms the government to be formed after the election will be of the 94.5 crores voters and their under aged family members, and that government will be said to be by the people and again it is is believed that it is for the people. If the government is within true democratic norms it cannot become corrupt. That is, the tax money of the people cannot be swindled by a few people in front of all preventive systems. In our democracy we cannot ensure safety of life of about half of the population (women). The GDP - PCI growth cannot remain disproportionate and a section continue to remain below poverty line, if the government is truly and fully of the people, by the people and for the people. The so called democracy is onl...
