It may be the first time in modern India that a state Chief Minister sending his own Minister to the jail on corruption charges. The sacked minister is reported to have sought one per cent commission from a sanctioned contract. It is the Chief Minister himself took the initiative to send the accused to the jail. While assuming the office the CM had promised the state that he would not allow any corruptive practice in his state by whomsoever it may be. And now he has proved worth of his words. This is what the people all over the country expect from all rulers, whether from the centre or the state. Let this remain as a model for chief ministers of all states. Media  have two ways to get to the people. One is, reach the people where they are. The other is bring the people where the media is. In the earlier times the former method was preferred but now it is the latter. So long as public activities are there news is part of it. Earlier style of reporting was that the actual situation was made known to the people but now the media decides whether the subject action is to be cut down to size or to flare up. Years ago, a political leader while addressing a meeting vomited on the stage. The style of reporting was: his own party said, the leader after extensive travel and attending a good number of meating could not have timely food and that made the poor soul to vomit. According to various web sources, about 73,000 cases are pending in the Supreme Court of India. In all Indian courts put together,  over 44 million cases are pending. As on Jan 2021  there are 1,05,560 cases of those are 30 years old. Less than the required number of courts must be one of the reasons for the huge amount of pending cases.   As per available information there are 204,096 courts in China, 67,994 in Russia and 29,023 in USA. In  India  there are  25 High Courts other than the Supreme Court. Altogether there are 23,790 judges. The reasons for such amount of pending cases are said to be the following. A view of Highway 10 of Saudi Arabia.      The entrance of NH 44 in J&K A private road, Highway 10 connecting Highway 75 in the Haradh area to Highway 95 in the West of Saudi Arabia  built for King Fahad has a length of 240 km. This link highway pass through the desert with no bend on either side. It also has no any considerable  gradient up or down. According to reports a 13 years old Dalit girl was lured by four youths and took her away out of her house and she was gang raped by these atrocious human beasts. The poor girl at her worst physical condition went to the nearest police station in a town in UP to lodge the complaint. What was that happened afterwards is unbelievable. The Station House Officer of the police station alongwith five cops were arrested on charge of raping the 13 years old Dalit girl in the police station where she came to lodge the complaint of the gang rape by four youth. In 2018, there were widespread reports of a 53 year old Frenchman who had suffered a cardiac arrest and died. He was then resuscitated back to life after 18 hours from the arrest of his heart. The Yungas Road  also commonly known as the most dangerous road in the world or death road. This road is one of the few routes that connects the Amazon rain forest region of the northern Bolivia, to the capital city of La Paz. Most of the road has enough width for a single lane. I wish to ask humbly and earnestly to my fellow beings of the legal profession whether the agreement on Mullaperiyar between Kerala and Tamil Nadu can be a well founded and valid one. If one gives another an elephant with the agreement duly signed by both that the present owner will ensure that the elephant will remain alive for 999 years. Can any court in India can ratify this just because both parties have signed this senseless agreement? Reports appeared recently in the News Paper as well as in the WhatsApp constrained me to write this.  A patient admitted in the hospital ventilator was short of money. His relatives requested for one day's time for the remittance. The hospital refused the request and discharged the patient from the ventilator. However, the doctor was kind enough to give an advice. Since the patient was not likely to survive more than a few minutes, the doctor advised the relatives to obtain a death certificate of the patient from some hospitals on the way back home. Unbelievably, the Almighty Doctor interfered and the 'dead man' was brought back to life from the mortuary! In another instance a lady who was supplied capsules from the government hospital found some irritation after taking two capsules. She opened one capsule and found a small nail in it. According to available information only about 82.7 millions people are paying income tax in India. This works out to 6.25% of the population. In USA this is 45% of the population. It may not be that the remaining 83.75% of the population are not liable to make IT payment. Also there could be other reasons to avoid IT payment by at least some more Indians. The gross collection before adjusting refunds of Income Tax in India during 2022-23 is Rs 19.68 lakh crores. If the income of an individual in India in a FY is Rs 1.01 cr, he has to pay a sum of Rs 32,68,875 as IT including surcharge of 15% of the tax amount. Neville and Erskine Ebbin , two brothers died at the age of 17 years in  taxi accidents. The chilling part is that both of them died  in the span of a year, when both were riding the same moped. What is more surprising is that Erskine's accident occurred by the same taxi that killed Neville. And guess what, the taxi driver was the same man who killed Neville. Unbelievable, but true.
