CAN WE EVER IMAGINE TO BE ONE AMONGST THEM!
The following countries are beyond reachable level for we Indians. Our political leaders, without any reluctance, go to the extent of promulgating our achievements. Now, let us compare those 'would be' achievements with the realities in many countries in the world. Let us think whether we can ever reach those.
Highest GDP per capita income:
Luxembourg has the highest GDP per capita income in the world $1,28,820 (Rs 1,04,34,420) One crore four lakhs thirty four thousand four hundred twenty rupees per capita income for we Indians can only be possible in dreams.
Lowest poverty:
Iceland has the lowest poverty rate in the world. In 2017 it reached 0% and in 2021 it came upto 4.9%
India ranks 111 out of 125 in Global Hunger Index 2023.
No crime and no cops
Netherlands is a country unimaginable for we Indians. There are no cops, no jail and no jail staff because there are no crimes and no prisoners. On 31.12. 2021 there were 5,54,034 prisoners in India. We have 1306 prisons , with 145 Central Jails, 413 District Jails, 565 sub jails, 88 open jails, 44 Special Jails, 29 Women's Jails, 19 Borstal Schools and 3 Other Jails. In 2017 the estimated strength of the cops in India were over 1.9 million.
Highest literacy
Finland has the highest literacy rate of 100% the world while Estonia has 99.89% in 2021. The literacy rate of India in 2022 was 77.70% . (Our literacy seems to have restricted to reading and writing one's own name) As per a 2015 report only 4.6% of our population are graduate or above. A majority of our 32.6% population have not studied upto primary school level.
Most peaceful country
Iceland is the most peaceful country in the world. According to Global Peace Index 2023, India ranks 126 out of 163 countries.
Corruption Perception Index
Denmark with a score of 90 ranks No1. as the zero corruption country in the world, followed by New Zealand and Finland stand second with a score of 87 each. In Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index 2022, which scored 180 countries from "0" (Highly corrupt) to 100 (Very clean), India scored 40.
Cleanest and most environmentally friendly country
Denmark is the Cleanest and Most Environmentally friendly country in the world according to the 2022 EPI result. Their EPI score is 77.9. Norway, New Zealand, Finland, Austria and Iceland are the other countries to follow. Pathetically India ranks last at 180 with a score of 18.9.
Happiest Countries
Finland holds the top position as the happiest country in the world in 2021 in four years in a row. Their score is 7.842 in a possible total score of 10. They are followed by Denmark, Switzerland and Iceland. India holds another pathetic rank of 126 from 150 countries.
After placing these in front of you I wish to add that our successive leaders have never bothered to compare our great country with other countries. At least now let us start doing that.
