INDIAN NAMES ARE 380 IN 'PANDORA BOX'

Image
Money swindling has become a routine thing for Indians; not a news at all. Latest of it is the 'Pandora Box'. Pandora papers are the largest trove of leaked data exposing tax haven secrecy in history. This is casting light on the financial secrets of some of the world's richest people. Out of the long list of internationally known people 380 are Indians. They too are well known in different fields. All those Indians involved in this number two game are rich. They all have a huge stock of wealth more than enough for the coming many generations. Still their thirst for money couldn't be appeased. All said and done this is being continued for long and may continue for long too. The following are suggested to prevent this trend for the attention of all concerned. 1. Find out why Indians are trying to invest abroad? For more returns or for mere secrecy? This is to be studied indepth. 2. If our tax rates are higher than many such prospective countries, can we think...

Image
In the 36th National Games in Gujarat, the performance of Kerala was really deplorable. While Kerala bagged 54 Gold, 48 Silver and 60 Bronz with a total of 162 medals in the last game of 2015 and stood second in the medal tally, we are placed at the sixth position in the medal tally in the Games in Gujarat. We could get only 23 Gold, 18 Silver and 13 Bronz with a total of 54 medals. Kerala is behind Services, Maharashtra, Haryana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The 37th National Games were held in Oct/Nov  2023 in different cities in Goa. POOR ROAD CONDITION IN KERALA

Image
According to media reports, the Central Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Sri Nitin Gadkari informed that pot holes of the roads across the country shall be got repaired. As per available information the state of Kerala has a road network consisting of 11 National Highways, 72 State Highways and a good number District Roads. Since the present offer by the minister is restricted for 11 NH only, the huge number of State and District Roads which are full of potholes and other serious damages are not to be taken up by the Central Ministry. Since the state is in absolute paucity of funds the repair is not likely to be taken up in the near future, the Central Ministry may directly arrange for the repairs of all these currently at their cost.  The money spent for this purpose may be booked on the state's account and recovered conveniently.  It maybe be noted that there were 43,910 road accidents in Kerala in 2022 killing 4,317 and injuring 49,307 people. WHAT HAPPEN WHEN FILM ACTORS BECOME POLITICIANS

Image
Primarily an actor becomes popular for the charector he played. During the course of time his action, facial expressions, voice etc too become factors for consideration. If he is young, his look, body, dancing perfection etc also contribute to the popularity. Once a leading actor enter into politics and tries his luck in election, instantly his fans get divided. And many of them become rivals too. This rivalry continue throughout the life. Even if he retires from politics the rivalry continue. In American politics two film actors become successful in politics are known to us, Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger. However in Indian politics there are not many who could shine in national politics. To name a few, they are, N T Rama Rao, M G Ramachandran, Jaya Lalita, Hema Malini, Smriti Irani, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Prada, Jaya Bachchan etc. If one is a real actor and successful in film career it would be preferable for such ones to keep away f...

NO MONEY WITH THE STATE GOVERNMENT

Image
Rashtrapati Bhavan  The  government of Kerala may face a tough situation to meet the day to day expenditures. The successive governments have not done anything positive to enhance the revenue adequately for the state. Accusing the central government for shortage of every rupee is a mere excuse. When we driven away hundreds of business establishments came to the state, we never thought about this situation. Our prime aim was politics and even now it is politics alone. The governments are totally depending upon alcohol and lottery for revenue other than taxes. It is quite surprising that a state like Kerala, having adequate resources like one of the best infrastructure and manpower available in the country putting no efforts to utilise those. On the other hand, the trade unions helped to close down a good number of industries and prevented many businesses houses and industrial units from setting up in the state. Instead of fin...

Image
As  per the available data the  (2023) literacy rate of India was 77.70% . Among the states Kerala holds the top position with 94%. While going through the ratings of education given by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) based on graduation or post graduation or professional courses within the age group between 25 and 64 years among the population the top ten countries with their ratings are given below. Canada 56.27% Japan 50.50% Israel 49.90% S. Korea 46.86% UK 45.96% USA 45.67% Australia 43.74% Finland 43.60% Norway 43.02% Luxembourg 42.86% As per the survey by another agency India ranks 72 in the world in education. However  as shown above we rated ourselves high in literacy. Since our own literacy rating is either imaginary or mythical, this cannot be compared with the ratings of advanced countries. We may, therefore, restructure our literacy ratings gradually to much higher level. At present the standard set for literacy see...

Image
(Close up photos of Moon) Many  people from different countries have so far bought land in Mars and Moon. Good number of Indians too have made such land purchases over the years. In 2020 a man from Ajmer, Rajasthan gifted 3 acres land in moon to his wife on their eighth wedding anniversary. Ever since late Sushant Singh Rajput, Shah Rukh Khan and other celebrities have  bought good extend of land in moon,  many people purchased smaller pieces from them. Sea of Tranquility is the most sought after region in the moon. The existing price per acre is US $37.50 (₹2775/-) which may be varied on either side depending upon other agencies. A Software Engineer employed in an engineering firm in NOIDA was awarded with one acre land in Moon by his employer in recognition of his hard work. KERALA TO BE ZERO CORRUPTION ZONE

Image
(Image courtesy - The Times of India) According to media reports the government of Kerala has taken a decision sometimes back to ward off corruption from the state. If the government is determined, it may not be difficult to enforce the decision. In order to  implement this more effectively, the following may also be taken care of. The anti corruption law should be made brief and unequivocal. Irrespective of the amount of money involved, the punishment should be dismissal from service forthwith with a minimum penalty of ten times the money involved in the concerned activity plus imprisonment as the case may be. In the case of suppliers, contractors etc those  involved or corroborated in the action, registration of such firms should be cancelled immediately. Such person/firm should not be considered for any future business with the state. Alongwith these, it should be made mandatory that the names of any government official or politician approach with any recommenda...

FOOD ADULTERATION EVERYWHERE

Image
In order  to prevent food adulteration we have enough law in our country. We have ministries in Center and in every state to eradicate this destructive tendencies. According to the report by the concerned ministry about a decade back, around 20% of food articles in our country are adulterated and it is considerably increased every year. A report by the FSSAI, about 70% of the milk produced in our country are adulterated. Over and above these, most of the vegetables and fruits sold in our markets are heavily infected by dangerous pesticides. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India is the parent body of FSSAI. As per the data shared by the government in the Lok Sabha, 47.5% cases registered in the whole country from 2015-16 to 2020-21 are in UP alone. Unfortunately, the conviction rate in food adulteration is only 15%. India has been ranked eighth in cancer preparedness among 10 Asia-Pacific countries. KERALA.- LAND OF ORATORS

Image
Nowhere in the world we may find such amount of orators. Whether it is politics, religion, revolution, advanced methods for poverty removel, liberal economy or any such subject there is no dearth of orators. Listeners are there or not, does not matter but  mike is a must. Since our census papers do not have a column to count the scholars in the state this data is not available. We are also on top in number of meetings! Evening hours one can find meetings at every nook and corner of cities, towns and villages of the state. When economic policies of UN is evaluated at one place,  liberation of Taiwan is the subject in another, The James Web Telescope on the Space is under discussion in another corner. In many cases orators are more than the listeners. There are a good number of instances where the stages were collapsed by the huge weight of them and injuring many. As far as the knowledge and opinions of the orators are concerned, these are not firm and steady but dep...

PETROL vs ELECTRIC CARS

Image
There are about 30,000 components in an average petrol car including the tiny hose connector, bolts and nuts of different sizes and upto the large engine block. A petrol/diesel car has ove 200 components in the combustion engine whereas an electric car has only 20 components. When we make a simple assessment, this 90 per cent reduction in parts may bring considerable reduction in the sale price. But it is not so. We may find here the Tata Tiago (petrol) ex show room price in Kochi, that is Rs 5,59,900. (The figures shown here are that of about early 2024) Tiago Ev, Rs 8,69,000, 19.2 KWh. We may find here a hike in  price for about 55 per cent from petrol car to ev car. The reason for this price increase is said to be for the following. One is the high price of battery and the other is lack of manufacturing facilities. If a new battery is fitted in a Tiago it cost between Rs 4.1 to 5.1 lakh. Lithium reserves in our country was comparatively low could be one reason for th...

AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT, FOOD ADULTERATION AND HUMAN RETROGRESSION GET INTERLINKED

Image
Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and      Research Centre, New Delhi     Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital Mumbai                      We have umpteen number of bodies for the development of agriculture in India. Whether it is the development of rice, wheat, vegetable or fruit, it should be finally destined for the development of the people. However, most unfortunately, our agricultural development is ultimately leading to the retrogression of humans in our country. Cancer patients in India is projected to increase to 29.8 millions in 2025 from 26.7 millions in 2021. Many chemical contents in pesticides and chemical fertilizers  are potential enough to cause cancer. Pesticides used in vegetables and fruits have devastating elements to make people infected with cancer. Over and above these some business people adamantly make healthy people into cancer patients. They produce and supp...

ASSEMBLY ELECTION RESULT OF 4th MAY 2026

Image
According to the facts and figures revealed by the results of the assembly election of four states shows that the voters have left their resolute nature in accepting a political ideology and rejecting another one. They have become more liberal and intense in finding good and bad. The preconceived socialist economic theory has been reanalyzed. This election could also well explain that God, religion, economics and politics  cannot be mixed together and served among the literate community. This verdict of the people clearly indicates that the rulers cannot hide much from the ruled. And it also gives alert calls for the coming national elections that people can no more remain silent and without any resistance to uncontrolled correction throughout the country. Our future politicians should also know that people will not allow anymore fo keep the door of education closed. Further to all these, the people of the God's Own Country  is appeared to have come out of the illu...

SCHOOL SYLLABUS KERALA MODEL

Image
Today's news report says that over 1.2 lakhs children rejected Kerala syllabus and left the schools. It has become customary for the concerned departments to prepare the syllabus in a channelised manner. We have a good number of issues in our society looking for ways and means for a result oriented solution. Today's school children will be tomorrow's legislators, judiciary, police, teachers, writers and so on. Wherever we elders have failed to find solutions we may pass it on to the coming generation specifying our failures in details. We have such amount of problems like corruption all over the country, widespread use of narcotics by our youth,  uncontrollable politics of our country, irritation among various religions and most unsafe conditions of women in our country. Another serious matter is the huge number of road accident deaths on our roads. In 2022 alone there were 4,61,312 road accidents in India killing 1,68,491 and injuring 4,43,366 people. We must b...

GOD, RELIGION AND POLITICS

Image
Top - Kalaram temple, Nashik, Maharashtra Middle - Thriprayar Sri Ram temple, Kerala Bottom - Ram Mandir, Bhubaneswar, Odisha    These three subjects have created lot of problems and taken countless number of lives across the world. While the prime subject God is something beyond human brain. Most of us fail to understand that truth. Some people have some scattered thoughts about God and such ones are creating confusion in simple human minds. Hinduism and Christianity say that God Himself have appeared first and from Him everything else came into being. The Big Bang theory of the modern science also suggests that a tiny particle came into being first and from that all space, time and matter came into being. Since all these three suggest same thing about the beginning it can be safely concluded that all those in the universe have come into existence from God. In other words all these are in the universe is God Himself. Whether it is sun, moon...
