Longest straight road 
Highway No 10 in Saudi Arabia from Harad to Al Bata with a distance of 276 km straight stretch of road is the longest in the world in this category.

Mountain range road
Leh (UT of Ladakh) - Manali (State of Himschal Pradesh) Himalaya mountain range road with a length of 480 km is one of high range roads in the world. It makes the travellers altitude sickness in most cases.

Most dangerous road
The North Yungas road of Bolivia is also known as the Death Road is the most dangerous road in the world.
This road was built by the war prisoners in 1930. Since then this road has taken the lives of about 200 to 300 people per annum until 2006 when a new highway was constructed. Even after making this bypass road,  thrill seekers are still using this dangerous road.

Lonliest road
Dalton Highway in Alaska with length of over 644 km is the loneliest road in the world. This road is not advisable to faint hearted travellers.

Most car accidents
United States of America holds the unfortunate distinction of most car accidents in the world. That number is four times higher than the next highest car accident country inthe world; Japan.

Highest number of road accident death
As per the datas of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, the highest number of road accident death took place in the world in 2018 was 1.51 lakhs in India. According to WHO one road accident death takes place in the world in every 26 seconds.

Widest road
Monumental Axis Brasilia, Brazil is the widest road in the world with a width of 250 meters (820 2 ft)
