POLITICS, RELIGION AND DEMOCRACY
We Indians have hundreds of issues that need urgent solutions. For unknown reasons we are least bothered about those issues. We are keenly interested just in one thing, politics filled with corruption and decorated with religion. We are unable to bifurcate politics, religion and democracy. We Indians forget the fact that India is a democratic nation and we have certain rights and liabilities under the terms democracy. We don't need education, good food and good house. We never ask for these basic needs. We only keep shouting some meanless words " ... Ki Jay"
We have enough natural resources. We have adequate number of qualified youth to exploit those resources. Instead of deploying all our unemployed manpower to convert the resources into products and send into the international market and earn foreign exchange we have sent our money into other countries by corrupt means. After watching all these our democratic voters are not at all responding in any manner.
Huge amount of crime is being committed against our women and children. These criminals have made our country one of the most unsafe countries for women in the world. We democrats are still prefer to remain silent. According to a report by Times of India dated 5th November 2023, as many as 62 out of 122 class 3 employees followed by 15 class 2 employee were caught on corruption till 23 October 2023. We are squeezed the maximum to take out our money in the form of various taxes for many developmental expenses including the salary of the government employees. Despite that many of them ask us money for the service rendered to us. This is being continued since long. However, we keep silent and remain 'happy' with god's and politics. We never raise any complaints against our political system. Many people must be thinking that some of these parties must be available in heaven too.
If we Indians want enough good food, good house, good education and good health services we must not continue to remain as mere voting machines, but think collectively to find a revised democratic system in which the people of the country should lift their status and become active participants in a democratic system.
