IS PALMISTRY RELIABLE?
Palmistry or palm reading is a technique used for future telling. There are many lines in everyone's palm. These lines are called life line, fate line, head line, heart line etc. While the life line is believed to be indicative of all about one's life and the fate line shows success in life, possession of wealth etc. Even the smallest line in our palm say something about our life. Palmistry had been practicing since long in India, Nepal, China, Tibet etc. Palmistry is believed to have originated by Maharshi Valmiki. It spread from India to Persia, Egypt and other European countries. Since long Catholic Church was actively engage in eradicating the practice of palmistry, taking it as a pseudo science. The one responsible for the modern palmistry is the great Irish palmist called Cheiro. After learning this palm science from India Cheiro set up a practice centre in London. This was widely followed by famous personalities like Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, Mata Hari, Thomas Edison etc. However, for lack of scientific evidence, modern science never recognised palmistry as any science.
Palmistry is merely a pseudo science or does it have some truth behind is something difficult to answer. While some believe this wholeheartedly others take it as a power of suggestions. Again, it is believed that the success of the palm reader rather the accuracy of the reading depend upon the long experience of the reader.
Some facts normally considered by the reader are indicated here. If the ring finger is longer than the index, such one is more likely to be athletic and have more children. Whose index finger is longer may be more likely to have heart disease and schizophrenia. The horizontal line that stretches from one end to the other end of the palm indicates down syndrome, fetal alcohol synonyme etc. Observation and suggestion are the two powerful components in palm reading. Experienced reader quickly assess the customer from his appearance. Depending upon the observation of the client the reader, looking for more money, may make the condition the one sought suggestions may put into more stressful.
If the question is about the reliability of palm reading, the straight answer would be it's a pseudo science, observation and the power of suggestion.
