DRUG PEDDLERS ARE FREELY ROAMING AROUND

As per the news report in The Times of India dated 1 Nov 21 Ernakulam city has become haven for drug peddlers. It is really a painful situation. Either it is owing to  scarcity of officials in the concerned departments or the peddlers have gathered more courage to deal  with the officials. Now the options seem to be available with the authorities are few. They can deploy adequate force to take up the matter with utmost seriousness or continue to leave things as it is. Alternatively, in order to overcome the shortage of forces, this is being suggested. Pick up some qualified and unemployed healthy youth and deploy them at peddler prone areas. As and when they detect and trap these criminals they will immediately inform the concerned official who can make quick arrangements to get those arrested. If this could be continued for sometime, this premier city can get rid off this menace. Hope the concerned departments will approve this proposal at least on a trial basis.
