DINNER TIME IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

Depending on the culture of the nation dinner timings normally vary in different countries. Restaurants will be crowded during these times. Those who are planning for international travel can keep these too in mind.

Norway
Norwegians prefer to eat early in the evening. Normally between 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Their food include stews and mutton casseroles.

Australia
Dinner at dusk is very popular in Australia. A good number of Australians finish their dinner between 5.00 and 6.00 pm.

China
Most of the people return from work around 6.00 pm. The largest meal of their day is dinner and they have between 6.30 to 7.30 pm.

Japan
Comparetively Japanese opt for a wider time their evening meal. Most Japanese restaurants are busy between 6.00 to 10.00 pm.

UK
Dinner hour in UK is ranging from 6.30 to 8.00 pm.

Mexico
The biggest meal of the day for Mexicans normally comes in the mid-afternoon, in the form of la comida. It is a multi course including soup, salad, an entree and dessert. Then they may have a small bite between 7.00 and 9.00 pm. This include hot drink, bread and some snacks.

USA
The average dinner time for Americans is 6.22 pm. This can be spread between 4.30 to 11.00 pm. The Americans normally have a short lunch and dinner become the biggest and longest meal.

France
The French with their vibrant cafe culture have a long lunch break. They enjoy a substantial meal in the mid day. The dinner rush in the restaurants are during 7.00 to 9.00 pm.

South Africa
South Africans follow three meals a day pattern. Dinner is, therefore, served between 8.00 and 10.00 pm.

Brazil
Dinner at home is very important for the Brazilians. The timing is normally between 7.00 and 8.00 pm

Spain
Usually Spaniards have latest dinner time of Europe. It is between 10.00 and 11.00 pm. This timing is dated back to World War II.
