HUMAN LIFE IS A REALITY OR AN ILLUSION ?

If we ask the difference between reality and illusion most people may give answers instantly. In case we alter the question slightly and ask whether life is a reality or illusion, most people will say it is a reality. When we take life in terms of time, can it be a reality or an illusion? The straight answer will be illusion. Life is not a reality, but an absolute illusion.

The state of things as they actually exist is called reality. An instance of a wrong or misinterpreted perception of a sensory experience is called illusion. When we take life in term with time, the present time only constitute reality. The other parts, what is happened is past and to be happened is future. Present time may be called present day, present hour, present minite, present second etc. However, all these time fractions are not present. Each of these have past, present and future. Now, for more accuracy, if we divide the second into thousand fractions and pick one, that too will have these three constituents; past, present and future. Even if we divide a second into a quadrillion, a quintillion or a sextillion it may still have a past, present and future. If we look for a measured present time it is certainly going to be infinite. Hence it can be safely concluded that as our lives cannot be experienced in its presence, this life cannot be called as a reality; it is certainly an illusion. And this illusion is wholly built on the past.
