MAN AND RELIGION

(Largest human gathering in the world - Triveni Sangam, Allahabad)

Religion can be simply defined as a system of faith and worship. Different religions focus on different God, different faiths and observations and different types of worship. In fact no religion try to sketch the Supreme One. Every religion has it's own set of rules and strict forms for observation and unique picture of the Almighty One.

Religions however, prescribe to do good as well as bad.  The followers have no option to pick what and leave what. All are to be accepted as stipulated by the priesthood. Some religions even prescribe illegitimate acts to the followers. The followers are, therefore, compelled to treat it  as legitimate. In fact certain faith in course of time, after getting incorporated some observations and prayers shaped into a religion and become expanded and gradually become a religious establishment.

Religions, instead of providing unity among humans on earth, cause disintegration of societies. In the history of the world, many countries were formed to remove the existing religion and establishing new ones. These achievements were made after lot of killing. Millions of people were made to vanish from the earth by religions.

If the country do not mix politics with religion and leave to the followers and confine those to their respective places of worship religion may not become harmful to the society.
