IS THERE ANY HELL FOR MAN?

According to Bhagawat Gita chapter 16 verse 21 Sree Krishna says about three gateways to hell. Those are lust, greed and anger. Bhagawat Gita, therefore, confirms the existence of hell.

There are 70 references about hell in the New Testament.  In Mathew 16:17 the punishment is said about according to the deeds of one..  "For the Son of Man will arrive in the glory of his Father, with his angels. And then he will repay each one regarding his works." While almost all religions teach the existence of hell, no man on earth, ever lived could ratify the existence of hell by his own experience. When we all believe that God Himself is the supreme love and compassion we may hesitate to believe an everlasting punishment for man for his doings on earth.

Instead of a fire filled hell in another world after death, if we can think about a hell in this world which is much harder than fire, the conception of hell may become acceptable. This is because of the fundamental principle that what is sown by us is only to be reaped by us. We can find hell  in many numbers around us in the forms of poverty, disease and many other flames of pain either to the body or mind or both.  This worldly hell is open for all alike without any distinction of rich or poor and big or small.

The principle behind hell is that every creation in the universe including man shall finally be merged with the Almighty One. As He is pure, anything that reach Him also should be pure. As such hell may be seen as a process of refinement in this very earth either in this birth or coming birth in this world. Further to this, in order to undergo any sufferings one should have a physical body. This concept is supported by both Christianity and Hinduism.
