WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF CONGRESS PARTY

In the first Look Sabha election Congress secured 364 seats out of a total of 489 seats. Surprisingly the second position went to independents with 37 seats. As a total contradiction to this, congress have a mere 53 seats in the current Lok Sabha. What made the party to go for this head down fall?  In fact no one else caused this. It is a self made one. Unfortunately the fall is on to a no return point. To make it more clear, it can be said that now the party is like a large passenger ship in a turbulent sea with no captain. If someone is there to offer himself to lead the ship no one will support it, as if all are waiting together for the ship to sink. The party is filled with groups and sub-groups aimed at nowhere. Bringing back the party to the central stage is near impossible task under the present circumstances.

If someone offers a helping hand, it is for their own sake. It will do no good for the Congress party. For instance, the communists are offering their association quite frequently. It will not fetch any gain for the Congress. Communists themselves could not cross the boundaries of Kerala, Bengal and Tripura even after hundred years hardwork. Then what help they can offer for others? Communism is an outdated socioeconomic theory. To the best of my knowledge there is no elected Communist government in the world except Cuba, Vietnam and Laos. When China has diverged from Communism the country made a quantum leap in economic front. Now stock market has become wide spread in China. 70% of their GDP is contributed by private sector. Only the name Communism with it's red flag remains active in China.

Though the 9th and the 11th Five Year Plans had provision for education, it's implementation was not ensured and no follow up took place. That is the reason for cast, religion and gods could find place in our political system. Now our country has become one of the most corrupt countries in the world. We are a crime prone nation in the world. Our country is one of the most unsafe countries in the world for women. These are nothing but the outcome of our own political contributions. We have never tried to overcome these negatives by restructuring our educational system which is in shambles now.

There is no meaning in finding fault in one party or the other. We need a total overhaul of our political system. All the negatives should be eradicated. We should know that the people are more important than any political party.
