TRUST OF JUDICIARY IN POLICE

According to media reports, HC asks the state police chief whether a fair probe is possible against a notorious con man. The reason for raising such a doubt by the hon'ble court on the backdrop of allegations appear to be made against police officers of several ranks. It is a serious matter that the judiciary is losing trust in the police. The home department may look into the matter with due significance. There must certainly be reason for the judiciary to raise the finger. Recently judiciary had to interfere in the routine behaviour of the.police and asked them to behave properly with people.

All concerned may look into this matter and take corrective measures to rebuild the trust in police. This is not to be seen as a political issue but look into as a routine administrative aspect.
