ENCROACHMENT OF ROADS


What have been ignored by the government and it's various departments since long is just called for by the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala. Thousands of flag posts are erected on the encroached roads of Kerala. One can also find unauthorised erection of statues, notice boards etc on our roads. Further to these, construction materials and waste dump etc can be found close to the roads. In many places electric posts can also be found close to the roads. All these encroachments and obstruction may be read with the following.

Road accidents in Kerala
2020
Number of accidents - 27,877
Deaths                          -   2,979
Injured                           - 30,510

2021 (upto August)
Number of accidents   - 20,912
Deaths                            -   2,190
Injured                             - 23,063

If these encroachments were removed well in time at least
some of these accidents could have avoided. Now, since the court have made an urgent call, all concerned may take action as deemed fit.

DO WE NEED TRADE UNIONS ANY MORE?

Finally the communist government have forced to impose curbs on the Trade Unions in the state to mitigate the unbearable actions taken by them. Trade Unions have come into being when employees were put on hardships by the employers. The time have been changed since then. Now it is our own government and our own laws. All safety, security and welfare measures are ensured for the employee of all types. No third party is now required to safeguard justice for employees. Appropriate forums are established for employees to register their complaints either singularly or jointly.
