"GOVERNMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE GOVERNMENT"

Today's media report shows that cooking gas price has gone beyond Rs 900/- per cylinder. Petrol and diesel prices have already become unaffordable for most Indians. Still the government is relentlessly going on hiking the prices. People elect a government for the well being of the people. The government is totally ignoring the sentiments of the people. Due to this unprecedented hike of fuel, cost of almost all essential commodities have multiplied comparing the prices of the past few years. On behalf of the poor and middle class Indian citizens it is earnestly requested to the government of India to look into the following on red hot priority.

1. Bring down the taxes of petrol, diesel and cooking gas as much as possible so that they become affordable to the common man of the country.

2. Explore the possibilities of cheaper crude from other sources like Venezuela and Iran.

3. We should extensively commence oil exploration. Try to include private agencies from India as well as from abroad. Willing states may also be allowed to participate

4. Try to multiply the manufacturing of electric vehicles and bring to the market at much cheaper prices. Make license liberal for competent manufacturers.

5. Freeze the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas for a minimum period of six months.

6. Bring down the government expenses including contingency and travelling expenses as much as possible.

7. Petroleum ministry may bring out a white paper on the current prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas with detailed bifurcation.

8. Hasten the distribution of Pipeline Natural Gas wherever possible.

Government of India may please give due consideration for this proposal.
