SHOULD WE STOP THE PRESENT FORMS OF VIOLENT PROTESTS?

We are living in our own country under our own elected government. Under this system there is no scope for public protests at all. Anything can be resolved under democratic manner without any public protest. Preventing traffic movements, closing shops, disallowing people to work, throwing stones etc should be stopped.

In the case of any problems of any individuals, groups or  society as a whole it could be resolved in a peaceful manner. In this connection the Central Government get a Public Grievance Redressal Cell opened in all Collectorates. Any individual or group can submit their grievance in writing there. The complainants should get  written resolution within seven days. If the complainant is not satisfied with the resolution they can appeal to the Regional Grievance Redressal Centre which can be about three or four in every state. These should be headed by a three member competent officials. They should communicate their decision within ten days to the complainant. If this too is not acceptable to the complainant it can be referred to the state level commission headed by the Chief Secretary and should have two more members.

When government takes a decision to solve the problems of the people without tempting them into any violent protests, parallelly government can formulate adequate laws to ban all forms of protests that may lead to violence. Traffic blocks, forceful closure of offices, shops etc should be legally prevented.

If this could be done discipline in offices, educational institutions etc can be established. Production in industries shall be improved. Public can avail all services without any breach. Let us hope for the best.
