THE SHROUD OF JESUS CHRIST IN TURIN
Shroud of Turin is a 14 ft linen cloth that covered the body of Jesus. This was first found in Lirey, France in 1350s. There is no record to show how it reached there. This is seen as an authentic burial shroud of Jesus Christ by every Christians and and also by many historians. However, the Pope Clement VII in 1389 declared that the shroud was not the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. Inspite of this the Pope have permission to the Lirey church to display it to public.
The shroud had undergone a good number of scientific tests and there were mysterious findings. It was scientifically found that the image belonged a crucified man. The shroud had undergone Carbon-14 test to detect how old was the linen cloth, the blood Mark on the cloth etc. The results of such tests were positive. Last time it was placed for public viewing in 2015 and now there is no plan to display in the near future.
