LEADING CAUSES OF ROAD ACCIDENTS IN THE WORLD


While there are good number of reasons for road accidents, the prime reason can said as distracted driving. Distraction is not caused merely by talking or texting on mobile phones. There are other reasons too. According to a survey 95% of road accidents occur fur to errors by the drivers.
Going into further causes for accidents due to drivers' negligence are over speed, drunken driving, red light jumping and non adherence of lane driving rules. Improper turns and tailgating also cause accidents.  Further to these fatigue, dehydration and stress of the drivers too become major causes of accidents.

Over and above these, road condions, climatic changes and default of the vehicles too become reasons for road accidents. However, if we study the causes of a good number of accidents of a given period of time, we can find that at least three fourth of road accidents are avoidable.
