COMMERCIAL ADs MUST CONTAIN PRODUCT PRICE

Plenty of commercial ads are appeared in print and visual media every day. Most of these ads do not contain the price of the product displayed. What is the necessity of hiding the price from the prospective buyers? If we have the resources to find the cost of a product and compare the same with the sales price, we can find a huge difference from the two. It is much higher in the case of medicine. Trusting a detailed report appeared in a Malayalam daily sometime back, the sales price is higher by 10 to 12 times more than the cost.

Since our law don't have adequate provisions to check this tendency it goes unchallenged. However the government can introduce a law for displaying the price of the product advertised both in print and visual media. It would be helpful for the buyers in picking their choices through ads.
