PEACE ON EARTH


'Peace on earth' was the wish the Shepherds had from the angels. There are many people in the world, for whom peace is quite strange. Many people in today's world seek peace in the family, in the society and in the country. Unfortunately, none of those can find peace anywhere. There are many countries in the world where internal disputes flare up frequently or facing external threats continuously.

What is peace? When opened the dictionary, we may find the meaning like, freedom from disturbance, state of tranquility etc. Whatever it may be, peace is not something given to us by others. It is that we get when we  give something to others. When we feed a hungry one, the satisfaction and happiness on that face fetch us is peace. Peace is the final one of three states of mind. The first is contentment. The second is happiness. And the third is peace. It is like this. When we find good crops from our cultivation we get contentment. When we eat those with our family members we get happiness. And when we share those with our neighbours we get peace. We get this peace when we give new dress to the needy one and when console a sick one and also when we greet a prisoner with smiling face.

In our remaining life let us have as much peace by giving what others need.

May this Christmas bring us Peace in abundance! Let every home in this world be filled with Peace from the Prince of Peace!!!
