Mercedes Benz
In 1885 Karl Benz built the first car. Since then many have entered into car manufacturing, but only few could survive. We may find some of those survived ones.
Peugeot 1891
Peugeot started as the manufacturer of salt and pepper grinder in 1842. After 40 years they entered into bicycle production. Then in 1891 they made a four wheeled machine called car.

Ford 1896.
The first experimental car manufactured by Henry Ford was in 1891. The first car was named as Ford Quadricycle. In 1899 Ford set up the Detroit Automobile Company. In 1902 they renamed it into Henry Ford Company. After a financial collapse they made it into a new venture, Ford Motor Company.
Renault 1898
Louis, Marcel and Fernand Renault set up an automobile venture in 1899. They had a prototype of a 32 kph vehicle. In 1903 they came out with it.
Fiat 1899
FIAT (Fabbrica Italiano di Automobile) was founded in 1899 and the factory opened in 1900. During that period they had produced 24 cars. They started with 35 employees and in 1908 it went up to 2700.
Opel 1899
A company was set up by Adam Opel in 1862 to make sewing machines. In 1886 they had diversified into bicycles. In 1899 they made cars but rarely could find buyers. They made 24 cars in 1900. They became part of General Motors in 1931 and later sold the company to PSA in 2017.
Buick 1899
Buick is the oldest surviving car maker of America. Buick was founded in 1899. Same year they produced their first car and the second in the next year and the third in 1903. In 1905 they named the Buick Motor Company. Then they came to a sales of 37 cars in the year and by 1908 their production went upto 8,800.
Cadillac 1902
Henry Leland in 1902 wanted to make cars at affordable prices for the masses and the initial one was Runabout.
Rolls-Royce 1904
In 1904, Engineer Henry Royce built his first car. He had a meeting with wealthy aristocrat Charles Royce. By December 1904 the first Rolls-Royce was ready.
Rover 1904
Rover created the safety bicycle in 1885. and made the motor cycle in 1902 and the first two seater car in 1904.
Skoda (Laurin & Klement) 1905
Laurin & Klement made bicycle in 1895 and moved into motorbike in 1899 and made the first car in 1905.
Audi 1910
In 1904 August Hitch founded the first car company in 1904. Due to differences with fellow Directors he started a new company called Audi in 1910.
Morgan 1910
Harry Morgan opened a garage for sales and service of cars. In 1909 he built a car for his personal use. In 1911 they made the three wheeler cars.
Chevrolet 1913
Louis Chevrolet set a company and produced car in 1911. The first car was not sold until 1913. He then participated in a New York Auto Show and then introduced a three speed gear box and four cylinder engine.
Dodge 1914
John and Horace Dodge set a bicycle production unit in 1902 and then to car parts supply in 1903. All their output was supplied to Ford. Then they decided to go it alone with their own car and that came out in 1914. By 1916 Dodge was America's fourth best selling car and that year they produced 70,000 cars.
Then came Aston Martin in 1915,
Mitsubishi 1917, Bentley 1919, Citroen 1919, Jaguar 1922, MG 1923, Triumph 1923, Chrysler 1924, Pontiac 1926, Volvo 1927,
Nissan 1931, Toyota 1936, Willys Jeep 1941, Ferrari 1947, Land Rover 1948, Porsche 1948, Suzuki 1955, Mazda 1960, Hindan 1963, Lamborghini 1963, Kia 1974, Hyundai 1975, Tesla 2008.
