NEW ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES

During the recent speeches our Prime Minister has indicated that the coronavirus epidemic has opened a good number of opportunities for our economic growth. The country as a whole or the states independently have not taken this matter seriously. The new investors who have diverted their destination from China and those have establishments there are looking for new locations. Though India can provide ideal ground for them for safe investments, so far  no move could be seen from any state to canvas the opportunity. The Central Government also has not announced any policy to bag these investments.

States like Kerala are facing problem to meet the day to day expenses. Huge amounts have already been drawn as credit from various sources. In the history of Kerala this credit is always mounting, never came down by a rupee in the progress chart. Still every successive government is looking for agumenting the credit amount. Alternative revenue is liquor, lottery, taxes etc. No government spend time to look for enhancing the revenue from productive means. Despite having all necessary infrastructure and other resources no effort seems to have made to canvas any new investors fleeing from China. Until now China export to 117 countries. As per the new developments many of these countries are likely to suspend trade with China. Can we enter into these countries with an offer of better quality and same or lower price? If we can enter into few countries at least, during the coming time doors will be opened for us in many more countries. This is the time of fierce competition and the fittest will survive. Can we become the fittest?

Unless the state produce and sell more and more goods and services in the overseas markets the survival of the state itself will be in problem.
