WHO WAS JUDAS ISCARIOT

Judas Iscariot was born in the first  century in Keriot, Judaea. He was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. He was more obscure in the history of humanity and in the Christian theology as the great betrayer among mankind. However Judas too have written a Gospel, as in the cases of Gospel of Mary, Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Philip as in the cases of some others. The Gospel of Judas was recovered from a cave in the Egyptian desert called El Minys in the 1970s.  No Christian community seems to have admitted any authenticity to this  write up.

Jesus being the God Himself, expected to have known all about Judas before appointing as a disciple.
"Nathanael said to him,  'From where do you know me?'  Jesus responded and said to him, 'Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you." When Jesus said this to Nathanael, "Nathanael answered him and said, 'Rabbi, you are the Son of God. You are the King of Israel." (John 1:48 & 49) But the Lord of Love just admitted Judas in His group of disciples. The Omniscient Lord Jesus Christ appointed Judas as His disciple must be with a certain purpose. During the last supper Jesus told His disciples with absolute clarity that, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me." (Mathew 26:23) The Lord further says: "Indeed, the Son of Man goes, just as it has been written about Him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of Man will be betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not be born." (Mathew 26:24)  How Jesus viewed Judas is very clear from these words. Jesus must have strictly identified Judas as His betrayer because he might be the one carried such amount of negative energy in him from his ancestors and therefore, deemed to be getting ready for a serious punishment. And exactly that is happened in his life. He committed suicide and where his body was buried kept isolated for a long period of time.

However despite being a strong negative charector in human mind especially those Christian believers, the gospel written by Judas could have published by the Church and widely circulated. The people could have observed his views on various matters related to Jesus Christ. I think the Church may not have any misconception that some faithful people may leave Christianity and join the negative community of Judas.
