The oldest available evidence about the great Indian writer Kalidas was found in the Sun Temple in 473 CE. The widely accepted theory is that Kalidas was flourished during the reign of Chandragupta II. The Vikramaditya Empire was located from the foot hills of the Himalayas in the north to the Narmadha river in the south and Indus river in the west to the Bengal region in the east. As per available evidence Kalidas was one of the Navaratnas of the Vikramaditya Empire. As per the peace and safety index of women in the world 2021-22, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland hold the top six positions in the world. India holds 148th position among 170 countries in the world. It must be shameful for every Indian. While evaluating the safety of women among Indian states Assam with 168.3 crimes per lakh women is the most unsafe state in the country. Kerala with 73.3 crimes per lakh women holds the 10th position. India must be in the forefront of sexual violence, human trafficking and sexual discrimination. Foodpoisoning   is rampant in India as per media reports. Whether it is hotel food, bakery products, fish, meat, chicken, egg, cooking oil, vegetables or fruits, adulteration is widespread in India. Most of the pesticides and chemicals added to food items are highly dangerous. Cancer patients are increasing day by day. If this is left unchecked India may become a country of patients and deformed people.  The Centre and State governments, it seems, are lacking adequate resources to prevent these. The government should now make stringent laws and ensure effective punishment with huge penalty and suitable compensation to the victims. Alongwith this, public information should be provided through media to create public awareness and should be advised the people to register complaints against this. Reports appeared recently in the News Paper as well as in the WhatsApp constrained me to write this.  A patient admitted in the hospital ventilator was short of money. His relatives requested for one day's time for the remittance. The hospital refused the request and discharged the patient from the ventilator. However, the doctor was kind enough to give an advice. Since the patient was not likely to survive more than a few minutes, the doctor advised the relatives to obtain a death certificate of the patient from some hospitals on the way back home. Unbelievably, the Almighty Doctor interfered and the 'dead man' was brought back to life from the mortuary! In another instance a lady who was supplied capsules from the government hospital found some irritation after taking two capsules. She opened one capsule and found a small nail in it.
