Longest bus route
Currently the longest bus route is Ormeno company's Transoceanica route, 6,300 km from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Lima, Peru linking the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of South America. Travel time is four plus days.

The most epic bus journey is expected to start in the year 2021 from India capital New Delhi to London, the capital of UK. The journey will be covering around 20,000 km through 18 countries in 70 days. The trip cost is ₹15 lakh inclusive of food, hotel stay in twin sharing basis, visa fees, border crossing expenses, English translator etc.

Fastest service
A British service bus running on biomethane (cow dung) compressed natural gas (CNG)
with a recorded speed of 121 kmph is the fastest service bus in the world.

The Dutch bus with a speed of 250 kmph is the fastest bus. The 15 metres long bus with a capacity of 23 passengers is built at a cost of $20 million. The bus is so far not put on regular operation.

Luxurious bus
The Vantare Platinum Plus with a cost of $2.5 million is said to be the most luxurious bus. Has king size bed and plasma TV. State of the art in terms of technology. Has liquor cabinets and  gorgeous interiors.

The $18 million Super bus, Dubai must be the most expensive bus. The details of the interiors are not known.

Highest mountain range bus service
The bus service of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has been registered in the Limca Book of Records for providing connection to Asia's highest village, Jibber, located at an altitude of 14,200 ft.
