RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF A PERSON IN NATION BUILDING

Generally in every system of government, as far as the people are concerned, there cannot be rights without obligations. In a democratic system of government, the members of the
government machinery too have stringent obligations towards country as well as the people. However in governments of certain countries do not adhere this strictly and the result will be absolute collapse of the system. We can observe this in some countries around the world. The reason for this is normally.due to some interference by the head of the government

Corruption is the key factor that destroys the economic system of a country initially and later the country itself will be collapsed. India is one of the highly corrupt countries in the world. As per Corruption Perception Index 2024 by Transparency International, India is placed at 38. The scoring pattern is "0 to 100". "0" is highly corrupt and "100" is very clean. A question may raise instantly as to what is that prevents us from eradicating corruption from our country. In fact, to the best of information available since independence of our country no result oriented efforts were made to eliminate corruption from our country. The first preference should be given to stringent law with no ifs and buts, subject to etc. Another way is to bring out the money to the market with the knowledge of the government. Further to this, proper audit system should be evolved to find out the financial transactions of all political parties.

As the wealth of a country is determined by the natural resources available and the manpower available to exploit those we should have been placed amongst richest countries of the world. Our country has enough natural resources and surplus manpower, but unfortunately neither we could become one of the richest countries of the world nor could find our name among the rich countries of the world. Despite all said and done 25% or population are still below poverty line. Another severe hindrance for our economic growth is poor standard of education. As per general information good number of our population is below matriculation. As per the census of 2011, only 4.5% of our population are graduates, 33% of the population is below primary education. At this juncture we must look at these countries where the educational level is enviable for us; South Korea has 69% of the population are graduates, Canada 66% and 65% of Japanese people are also studied upto graduation. When the people of the country is well educated they can help the government in various developmental activities. For instance, according to media reports, lithium deposits are found at different locations of the country. If those are brought out at the earliest we can produce more electric vehicles in our country. This will bring down the cost of import of crude from other countries. Further to this we can also export more and more electric vehicles to many countries.

Development of a country is the result of mutual help and cooperation between the people and the government. while people can make a good number of economic developmental suggestions to the government, those can be discussed with the people and convert them into evolutionary and profitable projects.

The government can also make a two way attack against me corruption. The government can announce a scheme under which investment may be attracted to some selected arena. Those invest there need not declare the source of income, but pay only within the minimum slab of income tax. If this is well introduced and accepted good amount of black money will come into the market and utilised for developmental projects which will be beneficial for all classes of people.
B
There are many countries in the world including our country that may have tremendous opportunities for today's youngsters to take up the process of development in a faster pace. The major epidemic affected us are corruption, misuse of religion and lack of infusion of education. Our education should deal with all that problems confronted with the people of today and must suggest ways and means to overcome those. It must be a collective effort between the people and the government.
