MAXIMUM CHILDREN IN A SINGLE MARRIAGE




This must be the world record. This took place between 1725 and 1765. Valentina Vassilyeva and Feodor Vassilyev from Russia were the couple. Valentina gave birth to a total of 69 children. They were in 16 pairs of twins, 7 triplets and 4 quadruplets.

Ramsinh 44 and his wife Kanu Sangot from Dahod district of Gujarat have 17 children; 16 of them are girls and then a boy. The boy was born in 2013 and the 17th child a girl in 2015. The entire people of the village have then compelled him to undergo a vasectomy operation and helped to stop the number at 17.(Indebted to Times of India dated January 1, 2017) Though this is shown as some sort of a record, there are many reported cases of more children from single parents in Kerala alone, that too in Kottayam district.
