CAN WE CLEAN OUR COUNTRY FROM CORRUPTION?

Though we Indians are very proud of our age old culture and the knowledge imparted to the successive generations, as of now our country is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. We have recognised all corruptive means as good to earn money. There is a crime behind almost every fortune in our country! Many of our government servants, good number of our politicians, large number of religious leaders etc do their best to earn as much as possible at the appropriate opportunities; continuous media reports show. The sources for posh residence buildings and costly cars must be corruptive practices for a good number of people.

Neither our religious leaders, nor many of our well placed politicians nor many of our high ranking government officials are eligible to speak against corruption. Theft, burglary and corruption fall in the same category of wrongdoing.

Corruption in detail with all consequences should be included in school syllabus from Class 4 to Class 12. Let our coming generations be clean from this cancerous vice. Our print and visual media should constantly teach the public to keep away from all corruptive practices. At least some leaders are left in any religions who can be said to be clean. Such reputed leaders may come to the people and talk strongly against corruption. Then comes the most important aspect against corruption; that is punishment. Punishment should be decided by the people, not by the politicians.  Right from death penalty, attachment of entire property, dismissal from service etc can be considered as punishment for corruption, even if it is one rupee. If the people do not act properly and well in time all these anti social elements together sell this country too.
