DEMAND FOR RESIGNATION OF ELECTED MEMBERS

It has become a practice in our country that members of parliament or assembly elected by the authorised citizens are asked to quit from their respective offices by a group of people from the road. When we have legislative houses for discussions and sharing or differing opinions why the political parties are sending their followers to the road to demand the resignation of any sitting members. The opposition parties in Kerala are now demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister and few other ministers whereas the ruling party wants a central minister and a state MLA to resign. Both of them know that what they are doing is wrong; yet they do it for they are certain that no one will question them. We must find an end to this wrong practice of asking an elected member 'to get out' from where he is by shouting or by posters all over on the road. If the political parties have the will they must frame a law prohibiting such nonsense. In case of any irregularities by any elected members people can very well approach the judiciary and can have most appropriate results too.
