COVID19, LOCK DOWN AND OZONE LAYER

While the world is under lock down as imposed by Covid 19, nature is healing itself from the harmful effect by the man made pollution on ozone layer. Over the years of ejection of destructive gases large opening has been formed in the ozone layer. The amazing news appeared after the coronavirus spread is that the largest hole in the ozone layer about a million square kilometres above the arctic has closed due to unusual atmospheric conditions. This is confirmed by few weather forecast organisations of Europe.

Sharing a post on the micro-blogging website, Copernicus ECMWF wrote, "The unprecedented 2020 northern hemisphere #OzoneHole has come to an end." Let us now conclude the fact that the coronavirus is a medicine injected by the nature to treat itself. It is something to be reiterated, therefore, that if we continue to harm the mighty and super intelligent nature, the great power shall certainly defend itself.

Consequent upon the Covid19 terror we all have learnt to make necessary changes in our habits and life style. We shall start using masks continuously, keep personal distancing and we also pledged that we shall not spit on the road. We must now add the following too in our pledge to prevent the anger of the nature. 1) We should not pollute the atmosphere. 2) We should not pollute the rivers, lakes and the sea. 3) We should not destroy the hills, rock deposits and forests. 4) We should stop slaughtering trees haphazardly. 5) We should also stop throwing domestic waste at public places.
