Kerala is notorious for its approach towards entrepreneurs. We have not only driven away many for one reason or the other. Let us understand the fact that this habit of ours have finally brought the state government to the present financial situation. If we could welcome all those came to our state to set up some industries the face look of the state would have been much different. We would not have faced this financial scarcity. Many of our youth would have got excellent employment opportunities and the state revenue would have been substantially increased.

E-Manorama had a news report on 12th December that one NRI came from Ireland set up a modern restaurant and toddy bar in Kottayam with an employment potential of over 150 people both direct and indirect. Some people are trying to close it down. So far he could not get any protection from any authority. The entrepreneur with tears in his eyes said that he is going to close down this establishment which would have been an excellent tourist attraction too.  Many entrepreneurs have faced this pathetic and desperate state since long in Kerala.  The government of Kerala may look into this with top most priority. The finance ministry, industrial ministry and the tourism ministry should jointly take up this issue at the earliest and try to retain this entrepreneur from closing the unit and encourage him to diversify it to more locations. It should also be ensured that such incidents must not happen in our state.
