GARDEN OF EDEN IN TODAY'S WORLD
Chapter 2 of Genesis verses 8 to 25 describe about the Garden of Eden and the first man and woman created by God. Four rivers flowing through the garden region is also mentioned. The first two rivers are Phison and Gehon. The third and fourth are Tigris and Euphrates. Garden of Eden from the biblical description is not an imaginary location but an exact one. The Tigris and Euphrates are two rivers that are flowing through Iraq today. It is said in the Bible that these are flowing through Assyria, which is today's Iraq. The location of Phison and Gehon is not known. Gehon is in the Cus region located in the northeast of the Persian Gulf. This however shows that the Garden of Eden has its boundaries with Mesopotamia.
If so much can be relied, Garden of Eden is not at all an imaginary place, but one that exists today. When man fell into sin and the Almighty One sent him out of the most beautiful Paradise, followed by the great deluge must have made great geographical changes. This must have altered the entire earth including the most beautiful Garden of Edens. According to the Scriptures Adam and Eve have not made any structure in the Eden which can be taken as any evidence to prove the existence indicating location. The only reliable indication available are the names of the two existing rivers. This part of Genisis would have written well before the flood. Of course, in order for the existence of the Garden to make sense, we must consider that what is said in the Bible is true and not just a legend.
