'NARCOTIC JIHAD' AND THE AFTERMATH

The news appeard in The Times of India dated 20.09.21 as shown above, prompted to write this. Samastha is upset over the 'controversy triggered' by the Bishop of Pala and the subsequent inaction by the government.

People may have sympathy for such well placed and recognised people passing these  remarks publicly. Had they ever upset or passed any comments on any of the following?

1. News report of The Hindu dated 17th February 2021. "The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested two members of the Popular Front of India from Kerala on allegations that they were planning to target leaders of 'Hindu' outfits and strike at sensitive spots in the state with terror attacks.

2. Report by The Times of India dated 18th August 2021. "NIA on Tuesday arrested two women residents of Kannur in Kerala, who were said to be highly radicalised, with one of whom having travelled to Iran to join Islamic State terror outfit in Syria while the other was ready to make the journey to an IS controlled territory. "

8. Report by Hindustan Times dated 24 July 2021. "4 men held in Uttarakhand's Almora after locals accuse them of love jihad.

9. BBC report on 3 December 2020. "Police in India's UP state have arrested a Muslim man for allegedly trying to convert a Hindu woman to Islam.
And it goes on and on...

Those shown above are quoted from reputed media both nationally and internationally. Arrogance by some of these religious leaders who pass such comments can be ignored as cultured well behaved people are also part of any religion. The situation is now hot and demands the government and the people go hand in hand to avoid an explosive situation which can be imminent.

Further to these it is understood that some people related  to this issue has demanded the concerned Bishop to withdraw the alleged remarks. Is that the way to resolve the issue? Can they ask to withdraw the arrests made and cases registered against a good number of people by NIA and police from different states? If anyone have committed anything wrong, please admit those and ensure that it will not be repeated. There ends the matter and we all can live peacefully.
