IS SPIRIT A REALITY?

From time immemorial man have been hearing stories about haunting by the spirits of the dead ones. There are many near real stories about our past ones from all over the word. Innumerable number of books can be found about haunted places like ordinary houses, palaces, cemeteries, ponds, gardens public roads etc. Many cinemas and tv serials have made on this subject. However, it is not known whether any authentic studies made on this haunted subjects and the results published. There are many theories within the paranormal field as to why places are haunted and why some places are more haunted than others. Here are some strange stories of ghosts.

The army quarters in Srinagar is said to be a haunted place. Floating ghostly apparitions were seen here by many. They appear for a few seconds only and then fade away. During the apparitions they produce some strange sounds and emit light. These mysterious figures are seen between 1.00 am and 3.00 am. Local people believe these are nothing other than ghosts.

On January 21, 1991 some Kashmiri people were protesting at the Gawkadal bridge. CRPF opened fire and a good number of them were killed. Since then many paranormal activities were reported from there. Trespassers have witnessed many ghostly apparitions alongwith strange voices. This place is considered as one of the most haunted places in Kashmir.

Many people have confirmed the existence of a spirit in a house in Srinagar. It is told that anyone go inside the house would find their footwear thrown out. A person said to have no belief in paranormal activities was once forced to believe it when he himself saw his shoes flying in the air. He also said that there were disturbing sounds comming from the house. Whoever goes inside the haunted house may suffer from some sort of sickness.

There are such not so horrible stories can be traced from all over the world. If we count by person we can find many people who have encountered with some forms of spirits during some parts of their lives. Though a good number of people believe in the existence of spirits around us, modern science is reluctant to admit the same or find scientific evidence to support it, but prefer to say a flat 'no' with no theoretical support.
