WHAT IS LUCK?

Luck is said to be a force that causes things to happen to a person by chance. Luck refers good things only and it has nothing to do with man's efforts and abilities. Professor of psychology Jacqueline D. Woolley says that luck can be defined in three ways; a) a supernatural event, b) an explanation to make sense of certain events, c) a personal attribute one has within himself.

If we straight away put a question whether luck is a reality, imagination or superstition the maximum support may be available for reality. May be each one among us have something to say about luck. One purchased some ayurvedic medical compound from a shop for a family member whow was sick. That one went home and took out the things from the paper it was wrapped in. It was a piece of newspaper of a recent issue. The person found a job advertisement in the paper and applied for it and subsequently that one was selected for the job. Here we may find a series of combination of luck. The family member got sick is the first luck. Then comes the choice of ayurvedic treatment and then that particular shop and so on. Suppose that a person while crossing the road a speeding vehicle came just close to him and applied brake the person was saved. He may say that he luckily got his life back. If the vehicle passed through a distance away or applied the brake little early no luck element would have surfaced.

According to scientific theories the world was begun from a Big Bang. At the beginning of time a tiny particle was exploded. The explosion must have taken place either by an energy concealed in the tiny particle or from outside it. From that explosion of the tiny matters all that in the universe like our earth, the sun, stars, galaxies, air, fire, water, man, animals,  birds, plants, flowers, fruits and all those in the universe came into being in different shapes, sizes and colours. Can we not think that there is certain planning, design and execution behind this. Even every silly act of all these must be taking place according to the original planning. What is to happen as planned and designed by the Great Creator will certainly happen as determined. We may call it good luck or bad luck but the established truth will certainly happen as decided. Because these are all created by the greatest intelligence with unlimited memory and power. Luck has no slot here.
