(Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapit      University, Banaras)

Despite being at the top level in GDP alongwith developed nations India remain far below in pci. There are two reasons for this. The first and foremost is lack of education of the people. The second is the rampant corruption in our country. The second too is the outcome of the first because most people do not know how to react in many situations. Before moving further we may have a look at the opportunity for education in states.

The above figures give an idea about the Institutions available in many states, their feeding level etc)

Both the state and central government may make necessary arrangements for giving 100% education upto graduation level for the coming generations. Educational institutions should not be allowed for corrupt practices. We must also ensure quality of education. While the education should provide professional competence at international level, it should also be targeted that education is to mould disciplined social beings for our own country.

Let us once again remember that our mother land have necessary natural resources and sufficient manpower to exploit those for the betterment of ourselves and most other countries. If all these are properly utilized we can sit among the advanced nations within a decade. Education is the fundamental tool for all these.

Do not, under any reason, mix politics with education.
