IS THERE ANY ETERNAL HELL FOR MAN?
"And fire from God descended from heaven, and devoured them. And the devil who seduced them, cast into the pool of fire and sulphur, where both the beast and the false prophetss shall be tortured, day and night, for ever and ever." (Rev 20:9 & 10)
We are not certain about the author of the Book of Revelation. It is believed to have written in 96 CE in Asia minor by an Ephesus called John the Elder. It is also traditionally attributed to an unknown John of Patmos. Whoever may be the author, the conceptual explanation given in the book about the hell which is meant for an eternal or timeless punishment have been deep rooted in the Christian faith. A never ending punishment said to be given to human soul who committed an error while living in the world cannot be digested by a man of today. We all believe that God is full of love and compassion. The immortal One who lives in present, past and future simultaneously may not ignore the built-in weakness of man to commit errors.
Man was planned, designed and executed by the Supreme One according to His Holy desire. Man has no much control over his self, physical body, surroundings and the fellow beings. While these components are the determinent and influential factors that cause the actions, man is wholly made responsible for all his wrongs and send to the eternal fire. More than this, the most merciful God send man to an everlasting punishment to the hell. We cannot find here the God of love, God of forgiveness and God of justice.
Now let us conclude within our very limited knowledge. Most important of all is that the God Himself sacrificed His human life for the redemption of every human created by Him from all errors. Then, as everything in this universe including man has come from God at the beginning of time, everything including man shall go back to the Supreme One at the end. God will ensure that all are cleaned enough before absorbed into Him. Jesus Himself confirm this. "In that day, you shall know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." (John 10:20).This word of Jesus absolutely clarifies that there is no any everlasting punishment and hence no any eternal hell. The word further reveals that everyone will finally reach in God and the God Himself is the Heaven
