CRIME IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA


As per police records 1.2 million anti social activities took place  in India in 2022.

About.crime against women Uttar Pradesh reported a staggering 4,45,256 crimes, the highest in the country in 2022 as per NCRB report. Say about about 51 FIRs per hour in the state.

In the case of murders in 2022 in India, U P topped with a figure of 3491 followed by Bihar with 2930 and Maharashtra with 2295.(indebted to: frontline.thehindu.com)

Delhi and Haryana are found the most unsafe states in the country for women with the reported cases of 144.4 and 118.7 respectively per lakh women as per the report of NCRB 2022.

As far as the crime rate is concerned Delhi recorded the highest with 1952.5 crimes per lakh of population followed by Kochi with 1358.2 and Indore with 1251.8 (indebted to report of, timesofindia.indiatimes.com)

While India as a whole reported a crime rate of 445.9 per lakh of population in 2023, UP topped the list followed by Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi and Bihar.
