DEMOCRACY NEED TO BE REFINED IN INDIA

    The New Parliament of India

For over seven decades India is standing proudly in the world as independent nation. We are among the top layer of the world in GDP. We manufacture plenty of products of international standard and sell among different countries. We have educational institutions and hospitals recognised by many countries. While all-round development is taking place in our country, we do not give adequate attention to refine our democracy. About 1.5 billion population depending wholly on our democratic establishments.

Unfortunately our democratic establishments do not take adequate care to restructure our parliamentary democracy as it needs to be. For instance, one with no knowledge of law can be a law minister; an illiterate can be an education minister; a health minister need not hold any medical degree, and so on. We need certain alterations in such fields. For instance, it must be compulsory that a law minister should hold a law degree, health minister should be a doctor, educational minister should be a well qualified one and the minister for roads and bridges, electricity etc should be an engineer. Similarly, finance minister should have qualification in finance and agricultural minister should have qualification in agriculture sector. Until we make it compulsory we shall become comedians in front of the world. Among the states we have gone through many such comedies. Why can't we make our parliament a temple of intellectuals!
