THE FAILURE OF COMMUNISM IN THE WORLD AND IN INDIA
The British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, US President Harry Truman and the Russian leader Joseph Stalin at the Postdam conference in 1945.
Communists are hoisting red flags in India for about a century. During these long years they could not touch more than three states. Brief explanation of Communism can be like this: 'Communism is a political and economic ideology that positions itself in opposition to liberal democracy and capitalism, advocating instead for a classless system in which the means of production are owned communally and private property is non-existent or severely curtailed.'
The above Communist principles are not at all adhered to by Indian Communists. Whenever they get an opportunity to rule any of the three state here they conduct the ruling as is where is basis just get contented with the rewards in whatever form it may be. Karl Marx has brought in Communism to fight against, rather to use as an effective tool to eradicate Capitalism from the world. Since Communism has failed in almost all countries they ruled, Capitalism has picked back by the people. In China the Communist government itself has opted for Capitalism, after passing through a horrible time with Communism.
USA has 158 million hectares and Russia has 122 million hectares of arable land. The population (2020) of the two countries are, USA - 33.2 crores and Russia - 14.3 crores. The current GDP (nominal) of Russia is $2.063 trillion and USA is $26.855 trillion. The GDP per capita (PPP) in 2023 of Russia is $27,584 and USA is $80,030. With these basic comparison, one may assess the contribution of Capitalism and Communism to the people as a whole.
The birth country of Karl Marx, Germany was split into two countries in 1945. The West Germany was allied to the western democracies and the East Germany to the Soviet Union. A wall, the Berlin Wall with 155 km length and 13 feet height was built between the two countries to prevent people from enter into one another. However there was huge flow of people from the Communist East to the Capitalist West. Few hundreds people were died during the trespass. And finally the two united into one Germany in 1989. Now Germany is a multi party parliament republic with a social market capitalist economy. With a population of 8.32 crores Germany is the 4th largest economy in the world.
Communist rule in India was also not different. The party primarily focused on annihilating the opposition members. During the Communist regime in West Bengal between 1977 and 1996, according to a written answer submitted in the assembly by Sri Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, 28,000 people were killed in political violence. It makes an average of 1473 political murders in an year. Many of our people are peace loving ones. They cannot afford these killings, violence and destruction in the name of protests. This must be the prime reason for Indians to reject this party. The Indian Communists may, therefore, refine themselves if they want to be a considerable power in this country. They may also rework on their failed hollow socioeconomic theory. Election Commission of India has revoked the national party status of CPI recently. CPIM is also at the verge of losing this status.
