THE TASK AND THE PERFORMANCE
There is a story about a knowledgeable young man lived in a prosperous country. The king of that country could learn about this man. One day the king called him to the palace. During the talk the king found that this man possesses good knowledge. The king decided to help him to acquire more knowledge from different people and places. The king sent him to a very beautiful island inhabited by many intellectuals. The island had wide variety of animals, birds and trees. There were many rivers, lakes, hills and green valleys. The king asked him to stay there and enjoy for about an year. Sufficient money was given to him for his needs and was sent.
After an year the man returned. The king called him to the palace and asked him what good things he had seen and learnt from there and how did he spent his time in the island for one year.
The man replied, "I took a furnished good house and appointed some servants and two cooks. They were making very good food for me. I used to eat a lot. I could sleep for long hours. Whenever I get time I used to praise your kindness to the servants and cooks. I carried a photo of your majesty there. I asked the servants to put fresh flowers and worship you. They were specially instructed to praise your mercy for long. Incenses were burning day and night in front of your photo. I have written your name in all walls of the house. I have also asked the servants to write the name of your majesty and long praise to your kindness on all available empty walls of the island. Some people were bringing fresh fruits to your photo. Part of it were eaten by me and the rest were sold in the market. Hope your good self is ..."
"Stop it." The king shouted. "I thought you were a knowledgeable person, but now I find that you are one of the greatest idiots I have ever seen."
Is this not happening all around the world today? The Almighty God have sent man to this beautiful earth. All that man needs are provided here. What is expected by the Great One from man is to love his fellow beings and help each other. Do good to one another and enjoy the flora and fauna specially created for man. Man is asked to enjoy the never ending beauty of this unique creation of this universe.
Instead of enjoying the great life by sharing one another man is going on making temples for God all around. Teach people about the knowledge of God. Write on all walls about the goodness of the Supreme One. Teach the shape and colour of God to all others. Ask to eradicate those fellows who do not understand and recognise this shape. What to eat and what not is commanded. What to wear and what not, where to worship and where not and what to pray and what not are all dictated one another.
There stands a tiny and feeble being at the corner and asks in a frail voice, "Have you ever seen the Almighty One? Have you ever heard Him? Do you know where you are? Do you know what you are? Do you know who you are?"
There were only meaningless scattered words from a few!
