FREE MONEY ALL OVER

According to media reports a junior government official is picked up by the state vigilance department on the findings that this person has accumulated about 68 lakhs in less than an year.  It may not be an isolated incident. Innumerable such incidents are taking place here on a daily basis. We call this earning by pet names like unaccounted income, non taxable earnings, gifts etc. This money is given by 1.39 billion people consisting of rich and poor from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. There are beggers, poor workers, fishermen, agriculturalists, petty footpath vendors upto those who sell their bodies for a living, among the contributors. The main factor that attracts many people to for government jobs may be this extra income. The only function in the office for them might be to fill their pockets. However, since we have a hard working, efficient and honest generation is still left with us,  our government departments are functioning smoothly.

Even though countless number of means are left to eradicate corruption from our country, unfortunately we are not willing to opt for those modes. Fortunately for these corrupt ones,  our people are least bothered about corruption. It has been accepted by them as a social norm.

At least we can mould our coming generation a corruption free one. Let today's school syllabus exclusively deal with this subject from class 4 to 12. Let our roads be good and accident free. Let our hospitals serve the people with total devotion. Let the higher studies be on merit basis. And such hundreds of services may reach the people with no blocks.
Let our tomorrows be filled with love and compassion.
