KNOW YOUR GOD

There are over four thousand recognised religions in the world. Each one have one or more independent God. Hindu faith alone holds 330 million Gods. It is a truth that there is a Creator of the entire universe including each one of us and other living and nonliving things. When He had created us He knows us very well as to what to do with us. He must have created us for a purpose. Since He cannot commit an error, that purpose is being served very well as desired. Nothing against His wish may take place in whole universe.

As far as man is concerned, no man has ever born on this world at his choice. When to take birth or where is not his choice. Who his parents should be is not chosen by him. Whether he should be a man or woman is not absolutely not his option. His body size or colour is not his preference. The quality and system of the internal and external organs of his body are not at all his discretion. Neither his memory nor the intelligence is his pick. Then what is in him can be said as his own?

We can understand from the above that God created man with a purpose of His own, which He makes to see that His creation too should enjoy it. If we take two instances of the Bible, we can at least mould an answer.  First is the story of the tower of Babel. Let us define it in our own way. After the creation of man on the earth, the Supreme One provided him every good thing to live happily. But he disobeyed his creator under the influence of the negative force. God shunted him out from the Paradise. He suffered and lived. God never maintained any enmity with him. However, when he started eating and fairly living comfortably, queries came to his mind. He wanted to find where is God living, what  are the comforts He enjoying and such things. Therefore, he built the Tower of Babel. Deviating from his routine living, going for these  things annoyed the Supreme One. In orderd to end their pride, arrogance and the united rebellion against the Supreme One scattered them by bringing in so many languages, taste and desires. And that made the people to spread across the world. And by seeing their agony with the competition for more and more comforts, the Merciful One again showered love upon them.

In order to recover man from eternal devastation God became Son of Man, suffered, died on the cross, resurrected on the third day and saved the entire humanity. Jesus Christ says therefore:  "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold, and I must lead them. They shall hear my voice, and there shall be one sheepfold and one shepherd." (John 10:16)

The above verse really appease humanity. Let us try to love others as we love ourselves. The days ahead may bring tranquility and peace to the entire humanity ever born on this world. Let us also assure the truth that the temple of God is our own minds. We may keep this clean and He may remain there and we can worship Him every now and then.
