COVID19 KERALA - ALARMING SITUATION - CAN WE OVERCOME?

Covid19 is alarmingly climbing up in Kerala. Though the state was counted safe at the initial period, things have been changed since then and the present state of the pandemic demands effective measures both by the government as well as by the people. While the people should strictly adhere to the directives of the administration, the government on the other hand may take stern measures to prevent further spread.

Further spread can only be contained by identification and isolation. Every patient should be identified and such ones should be immediately isolated and provide available treatment. In order to identify all the patients, tests shoud be widened, in other words, entire people of the state should be tested. There can be a good number of Covid19 patients unknowingly moving around and mingling with plenty of people. Unless we identify and isolate them the ongoing spread cannot be stopped. This can be possible only by a cent per cent test. It will be a massive, time bound and expensive operation.  It may cost over ₹3,000/- crores. Whatever the money spent by the government is people's money. When the people are at a disastrous stage the government need not think twice to spend the money and save them.

This operation may be started on top most priority failing which the death rate may mount to hundreds a day.
