CAN WE NOT PREVENT GOLD SMUGGLING?

By amending the baggage law suitably and thereby ensuring cent per cent scanning of baggage, gold smuggling can be prevented effectively. The punishment can also be enhanced. Any so called diplomatic baggage, whatsoever it may be, to be brought under scanning with suitable equipments with perfect accuracy to detect gold inside, if any. In the case of any detection, the baggage can be detained at the customs office and may be opened later in the presence of the addressee. Consent for this can be obtained from all nations having diplomatic relations with us. This arrangement can prevent smuggling of gold through the diplomatic baggage.

In the case of other baggages, those should be passed through automatic scanner with alarm bell arrangements. Every person, irrespective of their status,  should also be made to pass through suitable scanners. However VVIPs coming from other countries can be exempted from scanning.

This is only a technical arrangement and if strictly followed, can prevent gold smuggling through airports and harbor.
