KERALA ON RED ALERT!

Kerala is on a Red Alert! The situation is getting worsen every passing day. According to Kerala Police Crime Records, 5586 narcotics cases in 2021 and 8124 cases 2022 have been registered under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985. These must be about a gram in a Ton only. The real inflow of narcotics may be much larger than what is estimated. The number of users are getting increased day by day. Young school children are being converted into regular narcotics users. The parents of the children should be aware of this dangerous situation and become more cautious. The police and excise departments should be more vigilant. The parents of the children, the teachers and management of the schools should be more watchful to deal with the situation, or else these children may be lost for ever.

The states reporting highest charge-sheet crimes under IPC crimes in India in 2022 are: 1) Gujarat - 97.1%, 2) Kerala - 94.9%.  This is the criminal growth of Kerala. As per the website of Kerala Police the crime recorded in the past few years are:

2021 - 5,25,522
2020 - 5,54,724
2019 - 4,53,083
2018 - 5,12,167
2017 - 6,53,500
2016 - 7,07,870

Narcotics must have significant contribution in this high rate of crime in our state. If the government fails to take stringent action to prevent the inflow of narcotics to the state, the days may not be too far to find the highest number narcotics users of the country would be our state. Let us not forget the fact that there are many ways to eradicate this upcoming catastrophe from our society. It is more serious than we assume. If the government comes forward, the entire population of the state shall stand behind.
