TIGER ATTACKS AND FUNNY SOLUTION

As of now there are 53 tiger reserves in India with a total tiger population of 2967 nos. (Another information shows it is 3010 nos) This is about 80% of the total tiger population in the world. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is the biggest in Kerala with area of 777 sq.km. Silent Valley Wildlife Sanctuary (Nilgiri Biosphere) has an area of 89.52 sq.km. These two are the prime Tiger Reserves of Kerala. Altogether there is reported to be a population of 190 tigers in Kerala.

According to National Tiger Conservation Authority's findings, from estimations conducted in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 the annual growth rate of tiger is 6%. Tiger is a carnivorous animal. When it find scarcity of its natural food sources it looks for new arena and thus it lands in human inhabited regions. When these animals started attacking humans in these area the authority concerned has come up with a funny resolve for this; to impose birth control of tigers. Immediately taken a follow up too to approach the apex court to obtain permission for this. The result of which will be available only after few years and by the time, may be, few more people have to surrender their lives. The key issue that prompt these animals to enter into human settlements is in search of food. If you provide adequate food in their region they will not encroach to our place. The answer for this problem is not population control but to find food for them.

Try to bring in more herbivores like deer, beaver, zebra, bison, antelope etc. in tiger reserves. Preference may be given to Folivores (that eat leaves). Parallelly long high wall may be constructed near human inhabited area. And last but not he least, send out all our tigers to tiger reserves in other states. In such instances we should not try to promote tourism in Kerala.  "Let us all play politics and try to take as much loan as possible !!!"
