DEMOCRACY - A MAGICAL COMEDY!


Huge number of powerless people together make a few number of very powerful people, is a big magic and that is called democracy.

When the powerless sweat their blood to make a few chips to keep both ends meet, the powerful ones keep their pockets filled with huge sums with no sweating.

When the powerless ones0 find it hard to quell their hunger, the powerful ones enjoy their meals in star hotel with no sweating.

While it is difficult for the common man to travel in buses with the hiked fares, the elected ones are provided with free air travel.

While the weak ones find it hard to afford medical treatment for serious diseases, the super powered ones easily avail high standard treatments in foreign hospitals.

When the weak women are attacked by antisocial elements at public places, the healthy elected ones are provided with armed men around to protect.

Are these not  magical democracy?

And on completion of the prescribed time, all these magical acts end up in a comedy. We may call it democratic magical comedy!

DO WE NEED TRADE UNIONS ANY MORE?

Finally the communist government have forced to impose curbs on the Trade Unions in the state to mitigate the unbearable actions taken by them. Trade Unions have come into being when employees were put on hardships by the employers. The time have been changed since then. Now it is our own government and our own laws. All safety, security and welfare measures are ensured for the employee of all types. No third party is now required to safeguard justice for employees. Appropriate forums are established for employees to register their complaints either singularly or jointly. Therefore, as far as employees are concerned, they do not need any assistance from Trade Unions today. Trade Unions are now functioning as power centres of political parties.
